I try to remember to stop and learn instead of rushing into the next painting - humility about skills is a valuable thing to keep in mind. I have always been reluctant (scared to death actually) of painting the figure but I make myself do it - I want to do it - mind games can wreak havoc on a studio practice. So for today's Study Saturday - I did a quick study of a painting by Modigliani. It's far from perfect, but it's not bad for a couple of hour practice session.
